We drove from Memphis to Abilene on Thursday getting in around midnight. Wade was scheduled to go back to work on Friday night so they wanted to get as far toward Odessa as they could so he could get home in time to sleep before he went on night shift. We stopped in Arlington and met Matt, Darla, Briley and Lawson for dinner. (Wade's sister and family) Nana and I stayed in Abilene, went to ACU to get some room decorations for her classroom here at church and while we were there, visited the "Jacob's Ladder" sculpture in front of the Bible building.

Then we stopped by Nelson Hall to take this picture from the parking lot where I proposed to Sherilyn on Friday, May 13, 1966.

Second floor, middle window, Room 214-Sherilyn's room.
We ate at Abuelos in Abilene, then returned home. We got back about 5:30. It was a lot of driving, but we had a great time.
