No pictures today, just words and a request for prayers. After 6 days in the hospital in San Angelo, Grandaddy (Doc King) has moved to the Sterling County Nursing Home, just 5 blocks from our house. He is very weak and frail, but determined to get stronger. He had to leave Royal Estates because of the need of having his food pureed. Doesn't that sound appetizing? His pneumonia is caused by aspiration of his food because of his weak swallowing muscles. He will continue to receive speech therapy which includes an electrical impulse "thingamajicky" they attach to his neck/throat that electrically massages his swallowing muscles. It was helping in the hospital. The therapy group evaluated him yesterday and we were happy to see them already at work with physical therapy when we went by after lunch today (Sunday). Our favorite physical therapist who worked with him last year when he was here, is the one that is working with him today. She lives around the corner from us. This is our day to sing at the nursing home, so we will see him in a few minutes. Just keep the prayers going that he will continue to get stronger.
